Ivan Kee (Navajo) (Active since circa 1940, Deceased 1982)
A marvelous and beautifully-crafted clip earrings by the renowned Navajo silversmith, Ivan Kee. Along with his accomplished silversmith brothers, Allan and George, Ivan perfected his silver artistry in the 1940’s and 1950’s working as apprentice to and colleague of his older cousin, the brilliant master Navajo silversmith, Kenneth Begay, who was widely known as “the Father of Modern Navajo jewelry.”
One of the three Kee brothers, Ivan was, by far, the least prolific and his work is considerably harder to find. Ivan Kee is one of the greatest Navajo silversmith's to ever live and his work is extremely valuable and rare!
